Our Mission......
The Johnny Pawlowski Scholarship Fund was established to honor the memory of Philadelphia Police Officer John Pawlowski. Johnny served the citizens of his community selflessly and with pride until February 13, 2009 when he sacrificed his lifein the line of duty. The outpouring of support for our family during and since that tragic time is what led us to establish this fund.
The mission of our organization is to provide financial assistance to members of our community regardless of ethnicity or gender. This fund will be used primarily to help kids like Johnny, and their families, whose financial hardships
impede their ability to provide the education they want for their children. The opportunity to be awarded this scholarship will be available to the child of any active duty Philadelphia police officer who is attending or enrolling in an Archdiocesan or Catholic school.
Johnny was not remarkable for how he died, rather, for how he lived. He was a regular everyday neighborhood kid who lived life to the fullest. We would be honored for his legacy to be able to help other neighborhood kids fulfill their dreams.
